私の環境でも確認してみました。

バージョン 107.0.1418.35 にアップデートしたあと一時的にニュースが表示されましたが、Edge を再起動するとニュースが表示されなくなりました。画面外にも表示されていません。

Windows、Edge のバージョンは何をお使いでしょうか？

本日、突然にニュースが復活。
カスタマイズで設定しても、画面外にニュースが表示されるようになり、まだ消せていません。
