カスタマイズで、検索バーをブックマークツールバーに追加してはいかがでしょうか。
たとえば「ブックマークツールバーの項目」の右隣です。
検索バーが長すぎると感じたら、伸縮自在のスペースを必要な数だけ検索バーの左や右に挿入するとよいかもしれません。

私の環境(Win10 ver1909, Firefox 76.0)では、そのような現象は起きていません。
拡張機能やその他の設定が原因の可能性もあるので、新規プロファイルでも同様の現象が起きるか確認してみると良いかもしれません。

しかし直近、複数回の更新でアドレスバー拡大表示無効にしてあるのに、
また拡大表示が頻繁に出現します。「false」状態でも拡大表示
されてしまうのですが、非表示にする方法があるのなら教えて下さい。

どこのソフトウェアメーカーもアップデート時にこういうことがありますが、ユーザーインターフェースを変更する際はオンオフ機能を付けておいてもらいたいと考えています。
